Four cable cars to be operated soon

The government has planned to run four cable cars in various part of the nation. The study found at least  four places of the country has been feasible for the cable cars.

As per the study, Sunsari- Dhankuta, Kalikot, Doti and Kavrepalanchok has been selected for the cars.

The places are found viable to be constructed at a cost of Rs.  1.5 billion. The cable cars will be operated from Dhulikhel to Palanchowk Bhagawati in Kavre, Dharan of Sunsari to Bhedetar of Dhankuta, Kotbada of Kalikot to Chalna and at Doti – Khaptad, said chief of the Ministry’s Tourism Infrastructure Development Project, Prakash Raghubanshi.

Preparation has been made to give the construction to private sector and Rs. 2.5 million was spent in feasibility study only.

Investors are thrilled by the positive experience of the Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd. Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been sent to the Ministry of Environment and positive reply has come, he said.
